Aortic Summit

Welcome to the hub of the Aortic Summits. Designed to be an intensive exploration of aortic pathology, the summit provides attendees with an in-depth understanding of the complexities of the aortic arch. These meetings were born out of a collaborative achievement between the scientific societies ESVS and EACTS, reflecting their joint consensus on the Aortic Arch.

Participants gain foundational knowledge about the disease, explore various treatment modalities, and learn to integrate these treatments into clinical practice. Our ultimate goal is to equip medical professionals with the necessary tools and knowledge to offer sustainable, personalized solutions for patients with acute and chronic thoracic aortic pathologies.

The Aortic Association aims to mitigate the challenges of aortic diseases through comprehensive education and training. While our focus encompasses the entirety of the aortic disease spectrum, this summit emphasizes acute and chronic thoracic aortic pathology involving the aortic arch.

In October 2023, the Aortic Association successfully hosted an enlightening Aortic Summit in Lugano, embracing the theme “Back to the Roots, FOCUS on the aortic arch”.

This event marked a significant milestone in promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, a core mission of the Aortic Association. Lugano, with its rich history and cultural significance, served as the perfect backdrop for this gathering.
