Selim Mosbahi, MD
Selim Mosbahi graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland, having completed an exchange program at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Heart Institute. He began his career in general surgery before transitioning to cardiac surgery at the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland. Since 2023, he has been a member of the European Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Selim has a particular interest in pathologies of the proximal aorta, including the root and ascending aorta and undertook a research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. His research has been honored with the Award of the Swiss Society of Cardiac Surgery in 2020 and the President’s Choice Award of the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery in the vascular field in 2023.
Currently, Selim Mosbahi serves as a junior attending physician in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Bern, Switzerland.
