Roman Gottardi, MD
Roman Gottardi is an Austrian cardiac surgeon and researcher. He graduated from the Medical University of Vienna and is a board-certified Cardiac Surgeon. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the European Board of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery.
He completed his residency at the General Hospital Vienna, Austria, and has developed expertise in aortic diseases, encompassing both endovascular and open surgery techniques.
Between 2012 and 2020, he served as a Consultant at the General Hospital Salzburg, Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg. There, he founded the Aortic Surgery Program within the Department of Cardiac Surgery.
Currently, he is a consultant Cardiac Surgeon at the University Heart Centre Freiburg Bad Krozingen and is in the process of completing his training in Vascular Surgery.
