Mario Lescan, M.D., is a vascular surgeon and serves as the head of the Division for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. He also leads the Endovascular Aortic Surgery Programme within the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the Tübingen University Medical Centre in Tübingen, Germany.

Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1980, he earned his medical degree in 2007 from the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. Dr. Lescan has co-authored more than 45 publications in the realm of cardiovascular surgery.

His primary research interests encompass aortic remodeling after TEVAR and molecular interventions targeting the pathomechanisms of the aortic wall.
