Carlota Fernandez Prendes is a vascular surgeon committed to excellence in patient care, academic research and editorial work. Trained in Spain at the Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias, she completed her residency in 2019.

Her pursuit of expertise in the aortic field led her to perform a clinical observership in Milan, followed by two complex aortic fellowships, in Uppsala and in Munich.

Alongside her clinical responsibilities, she has a PhD on the "Endovascular Treatment of Complex Aortic Pathologies", is one of the leads of the Aortic Association’s young faculty committee, and has been an associate editor for the EJVES since March 2023.
