Prof. Jürg Schmidli Honored by Swiss Society for Cardiac and Thoracic Vascular Surgery

Prof. Jürg Schmidli, retired Chief Physician of the University Clinic for Vascular Surgery and Director of the University Clinic for Cardiovascular Surgery, has been made an honorary member of the Swiss Society for Cardiac and Thoracic Vascular Surgery. He was honored on June 19, 2024, during the annual Congress of the Swiss Societies of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in Lausanne, Switzerland. He gave the honorary "Senning Lecture" on the topic of "Aortic surgery - quo vadis?" Prof. Schmidli was honored for his outstanding achievements in training, research, and clinical work for cardiac surgery.
